Hand Quilting Demonstration

Branching Out

Valdani Quilting Thread

There is something especially satisfying about quilting by hand. It makes me feel like my quilt is authentic and all mine. I always have a little hand quilting going on, like the simple lap quilt shown above. I am tracing the fabric’s leaf print with beautiful, hand dyed Valdani threads. Seriously, it is so relaxing!

Getting started with the hand quilting stitch can be a little tricky, so we are having a free demonstration this Sunday, September 27 at 10AM. Come learn the “secret” and feel your technique improve with each stitch!

Please call the shop to let us know that you’ll be attending. Thanks!

Hi Carrie- Thanks! The fabric is called Branching Out from Anna Maria Horner’s Drawing Room collection. She did an amazing job with it!

Gorgeous! Wish I was there to join in the fun! Is there a particular thread people normally use for hand quilting?
