Party On!

March 1st, 2009

Thanks so much to everyone who came to come to Stitch Party Friday night. We had a lovely evening, despite the rainy weather! I got a chance to chat with everyone and check out in progress projects, like Margaret’s Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt.

Margaret's Flower Garden

She sewed this all by hand, and has been using our charm square packs to add to her quilt. Keep up the good work, Margaret!

Each party goer received a goodie bag, with a fat quarter from Amy Butler’s Midwest Modern 2 Collection. The fabrics are so Springy and, coincidentally (wink!), I think the colors will work well with our Block Swap inspiration fabric. We have lots of excited Block Swappers, ready to make nine patches galore. If you weren’t able to make it last night, you can still swap! Just stop in to pick up your starter kit.

Our next Stitch Party is Friday, March 27th from 5-8 PM. Please join us as we celebrate our first birthday! We are thrilled to have Heather Ross joining us for a book signing. Heather is the author of the new book Weekend Sewing, and the designer behind the Mendocino line- our very favorite mermaid fabric!

Thanks again, and see you soon!

Beautiful – I’ve always wanted to make a small version of that quilt. Now I’m quite inspired. Heather Ross’s book looks very cool – love the summer blouse.
